Throughout the commissary shortage, the insight and details shared with JHA from people most impacted have equipped us to raise concerns, ask important questions, and advocate for necessary improvements. Details about the current status of commissary and state-issued items and individual prisons are critical to these ongoing efforts. The information shared in this online survey will allow us to further assess the situation and advocate for IDOC’s immediate procurement of needed items to alleviate the deprivation people are experiencing.
